Arnan has experience teaching beginners (both young and adult). His beginner teaching is not just about playing the piano but also introducing elements of basic musical language from the start. Understanding the foundation of music is vital to enjoying further development on the piano.
Preliminary and Level 1 AMEB grades are a good way to launch into the world of piano music. Arnan has extensive experience in guiding students through those grades to exams.
With experience in High School level teaching and Tertiary lecturing as Head of the Keyboard area at the ANU School of Music, Arnan can inspire students to develop and enjoy their playing. With over 40 years of experience in performing internationally, the combination of teaching and performing will give students a wide variety of perspectives and tools to improve their playing and musical knowledge.
Personal encounters with international music giants as Daniel Barenboim, Alfred Brendel, Radu Lupo, Arthur Rubinstein and many others offered Arnan insights into the highest level of the professional international piano world. Arnan also has experience in the area of International piano competitions, as a participant, juror, and organiser of the Australian 1st International Chopin competition.
